About the Legal and Insurance Team

We are a team with deep insurance and legal knowledge coming from different backgrounds:  legal, actuarial, underwriting, and analytics.  Together, we handle everything insurance and legal to support closing deals, maintaining client and carrier relationships, and ensuring regulatory compliance.  We are a team of four, growing rapidly, and need more help to provide support for many areas and in many forms.

Your main responsibilities will include:

The role requires a self-starter with strong interpersonal, organizational, technical, and business capabilities, and is particularly focused on coordinating and supporting the key objectives of the Legal and Insurance Team. The right candidate will be able to effectively manage a multitude of details and activities moving at a high pace ensuring that the Legal and Insurance Team achieves its major deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.  

  • Scheduling travel
  • Maintaining key document archives
  • Managing key processes and work streams
  • Organizing critical information and documents
  • Completing bordereaux and claims reports
  • Managing contract execution and renewal processes
  • Coordinating staff activities and key meetings
  • Maintaining budgets
  • Communicating on behalf of the Legal and Insurance Team with insurance companies, commercial partners, and legal counsel
  • Managing the renewal of insurance licenses and legal entity filings
  • Editing insurance products and legal documents

You have/are:

  • Minimum of 10 years of business experience preferably at an insurance company, insurance producer, law firm or similar organization
  • Deep familiarity with leading edge business software applications (e.g., Slack, Google Drive, Office 365, Zoom, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred
  • Enthusiasm for Trov, its products and its culture!
  • Highly motivated and organized with an ability to drive progress in multiple lanes simultaneously
  • Experience interacting with multi-faceted people, skill sets, and industries
  • Must be a quick learner
  • Previous paralegal or insurance-related technical experience is highly desirable
  • Must be able to work out of Danville, CA headquarters the majority of the week with some flexibility over time to work remote on some days
